About Aleph

More than another trip

Aleph brings young men to Jerusalem for a few focused weeks of Torah learning, personal growth, and travel around Israel.

Mornings are spent learning Gemara in small groups, followed by Ta’amei HaMitzvos, the meaning behind the mitzvos. Afternoons bring Chumash with Rashi, workshops on career, relationships, and purpose, time with rabbis and mentors, and trips, hikes, and sports.

Who is Aleph for?
Young men who want to spend real time learning and growing in Jerusalem, and who are looking for more than a typical Israel trip.
Do I need a background in Jewish learning?

Where does the program take place?
Aleph is based in Jerusalem, with trips and hikes around Israel.
What does a typical day look like?
Mornings are for prayer, Gemara, and Ta’amei HaMitzvos. Afternoons cover Chumash with Rashi and Mussar / personal reflection, followed by sports or free time, dinner with a business mentor, and evening activities. See the sample schedule.
Do I have to do the fitness activities?
No. Climbing, hiking, fitness, and sports are all optional.
What is the Remote Work Study?
A program from January 4 to 31 (up to 4 weeks) for young professionals who want to keep working while they learn. You get subsidized living and a co-working space in Jerusalem, business mentors and connections, plus Torah learning, personal development, fitness, travel, and Shabbat in Jerusalem. You can join it on its own if you’re already in Israel, or continue straight into it after the Yeshiva Experience.
How much does it cost?
The Yeshiva Experience is $299 and the Remote Work Study is $499. Get in touch for information about financial assistance.
